I was really hoping to be able to say that I completed my sweater this weekend, but, unfortunately, that's not the case. If I were a better / more experience knitter, I would probably be done by now, but I'm still learning, so there were a few instances where I had to pull out several hours of work and start over. C'est la vie of a novice knitter! Nate was up in Seattle this weekend, so I pretty much spent the entire weekend inside the house, watching old movies & working on my sweater. I felt a little bit guilty about spending what will probably be one of the last warm summer weekends inside, but I was obsessing...
One of the movies I watched was "What's the Matter with Helen?" Debbie Reynolds was in it & she wore some really great outfits - I'm going to have to do some research & see if I can find patterns for clothes that are similar to some of the things that she wore. I'm anxious to do some sewing & to give my fingers a little bit of a break.
Tomorrow, we're conquering Mt. St. Helens. Just thinking about it makes my stomach turn a little bit...that's just how I am.

My Sweet New Ride
Today was the first day that I've been able to ride my bike to work since the little 'incident' that involved me t-boning Rufus & breaking my elbow. It's not the first time since then that I've actually ridden the bike, but it was the first time I've been able to take it on a longer ride. It felt pretty good, but Nate's going to switch out the chain ring so that I can ride a bit harder and not have to coast as much. I love this bike - it's such a lovely color & feels so sturdy...I believe it'll be a good commuter for me.
It was such a nice ride in this morning - summer's definitely coming to an end and the fall weather is slowly creeping in and taking over the mornings and evenings. It seems too soon for that.

Blogtasticly New Blog
I'm done with my old blog...Poland was a lifetime ago.
I seem to think I have a lot going on now, so I figured I'd document it...harvesting vegetables, knitting a sweater, getting tattoos, and climbing mountains. Pictures and progress to come when I get home. You see, I'm working now.
